Outdoors has it's own surprises for the whimsical heart. Grounds around the manor are intriguing as they meander through the hundred year old boxwoods that have remained the focal point of the graceful landscape. Standing just outside the lower solarium foyer looking past the stone walk and fountain is Aunt Beck's cabin, also listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Also, among these timeless structures is a primitive cabin known as the Fain Boy's Cabin where, as was common in their time, they schooled themselves to attain their law degrees. Many characteristics of by-gone lifestyles become clear as you walk among these structures and imagine the hard work, determination and pride that had to exist in the era in which all this was created.
